Handmade Nepali Farm and Bush Tools. A founder-run workshop bringing handmade farming and bushcraft tools from Nepali village smiths to people who work the land.
The short version
I started Bushcrafting Tools to bring handmade Nepali farm and bush tools to people who actually use them. I work directly with traditional smiths in Nepal, I test the tools myself, and I run this as one person who answers his own email.
How this began
I got drawn in through the tools themselves. In Nepal, a village smith still makes the sickle in a farmer’s hand, the axe by the fire, and the knife on the belt. These are honest tools, forged from tough spring steel and shaped for real work. The more I handled them, the more I wanted to share them with people who work the land elsewhere.
So I went to the source. I built direct relationships with hereditary smiths in the Kathmandu Valley, families who have made farm and field tools for generations. I learned how they work, what steel they trust, and where the cheap trade cuts corners. Then I started selling their tools the honest way, to people who care about the difference.
What I care about
Honest steel and honest work. I sell tools forged from high-carbon spring steel because it takes abuse and comes back for more. I do not dress up cheap stock with a fancy name.
Real makers, paid fairly. Every tool comes from a person, not a press. I keep the smiths who make for me private, and I pay them properly for skilled work.
Tools for use, not display. I build for farmers, foragers, campers, and anyone who wants one good tool that earns its place. I am not chasing collectors or a display cabinet.
Who this is for
If you farm, forage, camp, carve, or keep a smallholding, we made these for you. A sickle for the harvest, a small axe for the woodpile, a saw for the trail, a knife for the belt. Simple tools that do their job.
If you have a question before you buy, write to me. A real person reads it.
